An Update from Campus Ambassadors

Campus Ambassadors (CA) seeks to create communities through which students are transformed by the power of Jesus Christ, relating them to local churches and training them as servant-leaders for Christ and His Kingdom. Through the work of local Campus Ambassadors missionaries, they have built a relationship with a student named *Kay.

Kay grew up in India in a devout Hindu household, where he was taught from a young age that Hinduism was the one true religion and everything around him at the time reinforced that belief. Kay is now a sophomore at UB. Some of his friends that are involved in Campus Ambassadors invited him to join the Spring Break service trip to North Carolina, where they helped people who were impacted by Hurricane Helene.

For the first time in two years since moving to the U.S., Kay said he felt free to be himself. The missionaries with CA had deep, honest conversations with Kay nearly every night, and he began wrestling seriously with the claims of Christianity. At first, he questioned whether everything he believed growing up could be wrong. By the end of the week, his questions shifted—not about if Christianity is true, but what it would cost him to follow Jesus.

Kay knew that if he becomes a Christian, he risks being rejected by his family and community back in India. That reality is weighing heavily on him, but he continues to seek truth. He’s been faithfully joining CA events and plans to attend their end-of-year retreat in May.

Please be praying for Kay—that he would come to know Christ personally, and that no matter the cost, he would find joy, peace, and boldness in the transformation only Jesus brings.
