An Update from 8 Days of Hope

Recently, the Southeastern United States was hit hard by a series of devastating tornadoes. By God’s grace, Eight Days of Hope was able to respond in two separate locations—Cave City, Arkansas and Tylertown, Mississippi.

This was a unique moment for the ministry, as they had two teams deployed simultaneously in different communities. Though separated by miles, both teams shared one mission: to love and serve those impacted by these tragic events. They are incredibly thankful for the volunteers and leaders who stepped up to meet this need, and they give all glory to God for providing every person necessary to fulfill this calling.

8DoH often talks about “God-sized” stories from the mission field, and one such moment unfolded in Cave City. A young couple who had traveled from Mississippi to serve with them felt the Lord stirring their hearts. After several days of volunteering and participating in daily devotionals and worship, they responded to that prompting and chose to be baptized. The pastor from the host church in Arkansas was able to baptize them in front of the entire team. What a powerful reminder of how God works in and through His people!

Praise the Lord for all He is doing through Eight Days of Hope.
