Hope Is Not Cancelled

“And You know my name, You know my name,” sang Christian gospel artist Tasha Cobbs on the Hope Lives Virtual Festival which Kingdom Bound Ministries led in producing on July 18. “Oh, how You talk with me. Oh how You tell me, that I am Your own.”

While Tasha Cobbs sang into her microphone on this Facebook-streamed virtual festival, one viewer typed in, “I really needed this I’m going through a very difficult time in my life. I need God now more than ever. I haven’t been wanting to live anymore. I need God. This is so touching I feel God more than ever right now. I’m crying.”

In midst of the COVID-19 cancellations of Christian music festivals across the country, including the annual Kingdom Bound Festival, more than 400,000 people from across the United States and around the world viewed the Hope Lives Virtual Festival that showcased over a dozen Christian artists and speakers including TobyMac, for King & Country, Newsboys, and more. One Kingdom Bound attendee shared, “We are watching live in our backyard around a campfire. We will sadly be missing Kingdom Bound this year. But looking forward to KB 2021.”

Kingdom Bound Ministries Director Donna Russo said, “Although the festival had to be postponed, HOPE is not postponed. New life in Jesus is not cancelled. Psalm 62 gives us comfort today and helps us to know that all we have faced in the past few months confirm that the Lord is my Rock and Salvation.”

Kingdom Bound Ministries’ mission is to share the gospel through the arts and see people encounter Jesus.
